I wish more people would look at multiculturalism itself with a critical eye instead of being so preoccupied with phenomena like radical Islamic terrorism and racial clashes. These things wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for our zeal for turning society into a multicultural melting pot. Should we treat the symptoms or the disease?

I agree…multiculturalism is ideological warfare when people do not want to share traditional American values. I guess we have to treat both now!

I think part of the reason why conservatives are reluctant to put their finger on multiculturalism is that they know they will receive a backlash they’re unprepared to deal with. Even if they’re not scared of a backlash, they still have to think about political expediency. So they give in. You can see this on Fox News and in the Republican Party. We need to look elsewhere for true conservatism.

All the hottest conservative thinkers are busy critiquing multiculturalism. They spend little time bothering with stuff like radical Islamic terrorism. I try to find the thinkers and schools of thought focusing in on the deeper problem (multiculturalism) and not its consequence (terrorism).

The politicians and pundits who are constantly talking about possible terrorist threats make me suspicious because at the end of the day they really aren’t doing anything about the multiculturalism here in America that brought about these other problems to begin with. It seems like a losing effort to me. But there are conservative writers out there who are exploring the real issues and offering real solutions. You just have to know where to find them. I would stay away from the conservative media.
