Florida Security Council will file suit on Delray Beach Marriot on June 17, 2009.
Tom Trento, Florida Security Council Director, said that a breach of contract and cancellation of a well-planned Free Speech Summit on April 27, 2009, where the FSC was to honor the controversial Dutch Parliamentarian Mr. Geert Wilders, came as a complete surprise. ... “The fact that the Marriott sent me an email, at 7pm on a Friday night, cancelling our well-planned event, made it very plain to me that something was up. I suspected there was more here than a breach of contract.”
An investigation by the FSC began to unravel the possibility that ”outside agents” may have had a role in persuading the Marriott to cancel the Summit, most likely because some feared the message of the event would provide a critical analysis of Isalm. This is a civil rights violation as well as a 1st amendment issue.~MCL
